1st outta town, suckaz!
December 24, 2008
There was an alleycat this past Saturday @ st. pete. Actually two alleycats, Nutcracker and Mircale on 34th street. The Nutcracker was the last race in the florida fixed gear series and the harshest (32 miles, carrying bricks, sprints, etc.). I opted for the Miracle on 34th street put on by The Skirts, st. pete’s all female bike club.
I came in 6th overall and won first out of town (thanks to cory and kyle). It was a fun race, checkpoints included eating a cupcake, drinking vegan nog, and wrapping a box. Later there was a trick and skid competition. Followed by a party at Pam’s house, where Fatal played.
This so far is the highlight of my winter break.
Farewell
May 27, 2008
I’m Leaving tomorrow and I can’t sleep. I’m excited about traveling and being in a plane for 14+ hours. I enjoy being in a plane and in different airports. It’s a surreal feeling, flying above land and people passing them by and arriving in a different world.
Updating this blog won’t be as easy but it’s not like I was very keen on it to begin with. So until the next post, farewell.
Zombie Bike Co-op
May 15, 2008
On May 3rd and 4th I went to Jacksonville for the grand opening of their Bike co-op. I was amazed at how huge the space was. They share a building with a record store and Burro Bags (a local shop that makes and sells messenger bags).

It was a three day event from Friday till Sunday called Bury Your Bike. The co-op was in operation two months before the grand opening.

For the first time I played bike polo and even though I was a beginner I really enjoyed myself.

I ended up twisting my chain ring, but luckily I was at the right spot at the time (a bike coop!). The person that helped me said he never saw such thing in his entire life. I was skidding on a turn and then all of a sudden it happened.

All in all I had a great time! and met some wonderful people.

For more photos check out my Flickr account but the pictures don’t do it justice.
